Terceira Island, Azores, Portugal

Terceira Island feels like a place where time slows down just enough for you to breathe. Rolling green fields stretch across the island like a patchwork quilt, divided by the iconic black volcanic stone walls that give the landscape its quiet, timeless charm. Cows and horses graze lazily in the open pastures, adding life and movement to the wide‑open countryside.

The island is a mix of dramatic volcanic cliffs, soft coastal views, and gentle farmland. Everywhere you look, the scenery feels untouched — wild, natural, and beautifully simple. The air is fresh, the colors are vivid, and the rhythm of life is calm in a way that stays with you long after you leave.

This trip was all about capturing landscapes with a human touch — wide open fields, stone‑walled pastures, waterfalls, and quiet moments where nature and people meet in the same frame.

Travel date: February 2020.
